I saw more than a few Thais wearing it (especially BG) in naughty bars but never saw a foreigner wearing one. When talking to the BG they thought normal to have the king T shirt. If it was a foreigner, I think it might be seen as shocking. I do not know but you can try it and tell us afterwards how you have been treated. Went in on the Monday to Beer Garden, Suk Soi 7 (my 'local' whenever I visit Bangkok) and the only difference it made was that some girls thought that I was a resident of Bangkok and started chatting away in Thai (unfortunately, I speak not a word). Also, remember the bars are full of low class whores so it's not as if you're visiting the American Bar at the Savoy in London. PS. Do however remember that 'you are a guest in their country and so must always respect their religion and customs' hahahahaha. Whoever came up with that shit is a moron, so much pandering to the Thais, wonder if they ever say something similar when they visit other countries....
