Jeez mate, I haven't seen one in years. The secondhand shops used to be full of them and then the "Food Processor" came in and the price of scrap metal went up at the same time.

If I was going to Oz I'd find one for you but... not in the foreseeable future.

I think your best bet (quality wise) is to find a company specialised in HORECA/hospitality equipment.

I saw 2 years ago on Rama IV a shop selling these but my guess is the quality is certainly not good.

Prices back here are about 4-6K bht for a decent quality one, so I suppose that in LOS they should cost the same (except if there is an import tax of 300%)

Depending on its use:

- Casual use: Then buy a regular one

- Intensive (butchery etc...) buy a good electrical one -> more expensive of course

Note: I never worked with these, just that in the hospitality management courses we got a thorough explanation about 5 stars hotels kitchen's equipment....and their cost.

Julian 2: Meat grinders are still used by a few butcheries and hotels...the expensive ones of course.

Cent: If you want, there is a hospitality equipment shop located in my street, I could go have a look if you wish...

Ah...you're 5-years too late.

I tried to sell a fully functional 60-y/o grinder on e-Bay. It was one of the my mother's many antiques which I sold on E-Bay, after she had passed away.

Asking price was $4.95...it never sold.

However...being in Thailand and buying one on E-bay,

you'd get killed by the shipping costs!
