It obviously didn't work, since he was booted out by the coup not long afterwards. And this is the supposedly educated Dr Thaksin with his degrees from the USA. A lot of famous powerful leaders believe in this nonsense. Hitler believed in the occult, as did Noriega, Nixon talked to pictures, Hillary talked to herself pretending to be Eleanor Roosevelt, Ronald Regan was known to have consulted a San Francisco psychic, and GWB has his own "guide from above..."
