RayRay
In a hand-written statement faxed to media outlets, the ousted prime minister claimed he fled overseas because the justice system in Thailand was being meddled with and he might not receive a fair trial. Of course he's going to say the justice system is being meddled with. It was HIS legal team that dropped off a snack box stuffed with cash to the Supreme Court offices. Surely the Poms won't be so stupid as to let this guy roam the streets of the UK freely. I mean we all know they're not the brightest lot; but come on, they must have some modicum of sense. Bangkoktraveler
I guess Mr. T doesn't need his diplomatic passport any more, he and his family probably have transported all the cash and jewelery out of the country by now.

JayT
"Expected - if - rests with - so far - complicates matters." :nahnah: Almost sounds like these boys need to assemble a competent, confident, knowledgeable legal team to take care of biz. The courts are ready to roll!!

Khun_Kong
Let's say he got asylum, because of threats on his life? How about his wife? She's convicted, felony, and nobody has been trying to off her, right? Might she be returned without him? Would he then go back or leave her to the wolves? itsmedave
Latest estimate is that Thailands population is 64 million...Thaksin's assets seized for defrauding the Thai people...76 billion. Pay each citizen their share, roughly 1200 baht, and see how quickly his poor suipporters throw him under the bus and happily take his money.
