persil
Due to the political crisis, hotel rates are way down right now. I just booked the Mercure/Accor at Fortune Plaza for 2118 Baht (without breakfast) On previous occasions I have paid close to 4K there, and later avoided it because of cost. Located on Underground makes it an OK location. Last month Dynasty Soi 6 had also low rates due to low season. I suspect many others will be the same. chelseafan
Yeah but flight prices haven't come down, surely if the Thai Tourist Board wanted to encourage tourism then the first thing they should do is encourage the airlines to reduce prices....not a easy task in the current climate you may say but it would go a long way to get the people into the country. loner w/a boner
But then again, as a person who lives here, a shortage of tourists should put, er, uh, "downward pressure" on pussy prices. Large supply, lesser demand Cheers!
samak
Due to the political crisis, hotel rates are way down right now. so which hotel booking sites have reduced the rates? or did you check with the hotel directly! some just keep their rates even when they are empty! on the sites i usually check i have only seen the usual low-season rate but not any special discounts! Torneyboy
If the fuel costs/levy can be reduced you may see som slight changes ..don't hold your breath however.. Emirates have a fantastic offer for Syd BKK in November at $731 includes tax ...short stays however....
