Daly, who has won two of golf's four major tournaments, was taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Centre for a 24-hour stay, until he was sober, the Associated Press reports. Daly was asked to leave the Hooters restaurant in Winston-Salem and police were called when he refused to go to hospital after being treated by emergency medical officers about 2.17am on October 26.
