Apparently, they were sometimes jumped by gangs and beaten just for being black. Also, God help them if they started going with a Russian gal. drogon Posted November 12, 2008 Report Share Posted November 12, 2008 The international student exchange program for which my mother is working as a volunteer used to send 2 thousand students each year to Russia, they stopped 2-3 years ago to send people of other ethnicity than Caucasian since 2 of the students died. -> always bad for such an organization to explain to the family that their beloved one got killed by some racist scumbags just because of their skin colour. Being objective, I am sure there are some Russians who have a brain (I consider racist people as being brainless) but until now I never met one but if board members know of some then I would be delighted to meet them.
