border run - cross to nomans land then back?

if by air one does not need to leave the transit area before returning to LOS airport in order to get a fresh (30day) stamp, so why buy the cambodia visa & up the border run price with 30USD just exit to 'transit' & re enter???

...

This was the reason that immigration was asking for your boarding pass when entering at the airport earlier this year. They no longer do that, so I assume the computer system has been upgraded to tie into the airlines to show your actual arrival on a flight.

TH, what I mean with the airport transit area is at the destination outside LOS - sure in order to stamp out of BKK one need a ticket (to enter to immigration - even if cheating ones way in there immigration officer will be sure to ask to see your boarding pass!), but at the destination there is absolutely no need to enter immigration - just catch your same day flight back after a brief wait at transit ;)

So making the analogy to border run one would leave LOS - enter transit - re enter LOS - if only LOS immigration would allow such a practice e.g. with 'excuse' in poipet to visit the casino a few hours - would it work - tips & tricks?

I've been seeing it's definitely practically possible the only obstacle I can see is immigration officer requiring a meighbour country stamp for whatever reason - immigration law expert where are you? :)

Wait until your flight departs, then go back through immigration and say you missed your flight while shopping at the duty free.

You must be "stamped in/out" of another country before you can re-enter LOS.

Way back when, I did a visa run to the casinos and didn't get stamped in/out of Cambodia. I got stamped out of LOS, spent the weekend in the casino and then figured, what they hey, and tried to enter LOS...wrong, had to walk in to Cambodia and then out and then it was Ok to enter LOS.

"You must be "stamped in/out" of another country before you can re-enter LOS."

This is definitely not true!!!

I frequently travel to e.g. Singapore by air obviously & there if being Permanent Resident or having any other visa like Student, Employment Pass etc you'll get no stamps in/out so back at BKK airport they'll just add another entry stamp no eyes blinked

The same goes of course if traveling back to EU/Citizen country again no stamps given!

Surely I haven't done a same day trip back & forth to EU, but to SG yes once although I did enter the citystate to run a few errands, but again no stamps to prove it only a computer entry I guess...

Next theory why border crossers need to buy visas to re enter LOS? Could it be some 'agreement' with the neighbor thugs of Cambodia, Laos & Myanmar? :hmmm:

ok so this 7k new 'option' will then compete with cheap flights of what 1-2k? to penang/kl for a fresh 30day stamp. I guess the 2-3 months tourist visa is the other option...

or simply the 15day runs which however with the cambo visa still costs 800bt++ plus transport (~500bt)...

1y extensions will remain a comfortable option for sure
