drogon
If we compare PAD actions with other civilian protests in Greece: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7772645.stm PAD did not behave so badly...especially after having suffered two dead at the hand of the police. Of course, later PAD violence is unforgivable.

rogueyam
As usual, the unspoken word here is "socialism". The present Greek government is somewhat less socialistic than most of the other major parties there. Therefore the extremist socialists are destroying businesses in order to blackmail the government into handing over power to more socialistic parties, and the leftist newsmedia worldwide are going along with this. All socialists are fascists. That's the lesson here.
Steve
I think the fringe of both ideologies are fascists. Regimes designated as fascists almost always used to have 'Right wing' as a prefix. Fascism is totalitarianism. Its all about power. The soviets were as much as totalitarian as the Nazis in the same era and both were seen as opposite ends of the political spectrum. Full control of everything by a person or group is a function of being human. One of worse traits as a species. You can put a label on it and call it 'socialist', 'Fascist', 'Dictatorist', 'Right wing reactionary', 'fundamentalist' but it all comes down to wanting total control over people. drogon
RY: You might have forgotten how modern Greece was created...-> by a civil war against the communist. Greece tried fascism afterwards but it didn't work too well...
