are there any massage parlours or brothels that have notable or distinct architecture?

 

i certainly wouldn't consider a facade with a mona lisa likeness to be high culture, mind you.

most are very 70s interiors and grimey shophouse externally.issan brothels are all concrete furniture and bamboo walls with a massive jukebox .

There is a new, large MP on Phetchabury Rd. not far from the Ekkamai intersection that is pretty elaborate and upscale looking.

maybe the most notable one is Cleopatra on Din daeng road, which looks like a egyptian sphinx

The original MPs in Chinatown were simply opium dens that were converted when opium was finally banned. The MPs along Petchburi Road mostly date back to the VN War era. The majority are simply "functional".

"Amsterdam" is really out of place (at least seen from outside)....

 

Otherwise the most crazy lavishly decorated place is still pegasus....(but this is not an MP)

 

Anyway, would love to see Ratchada with MP looking like Las Vegas casinos....but of course MP are functional

I always thought the architecture of Harlem massage in chinatown was very unique , if it was an old opium den it makes sense. I am still trying to locate where the old " Heng Lak Hung " opium den was on new road , it closed down in the 60's it could accomodate 5000 smokers .It was meant to be the largest opium den in the world.
