teddy
But this time it's right on my feckin doorstep at my children's school Walked my daughter to school this morning and whilst walking past the boys part of the school I noticed a group of reporters with cameramen and also a load of mothers stood gossiping. Now I know what all the fuss was about: From the Mail: Here's the link Teacher bonks pupil A female teacher at a top private boys' school has been arrested over allegations of sexual misconduct involving sixth-formers. Hannah McIntyre, 24, has been suspended from her job at Merchant Taylors school, in Crosby, Merseyside. The classics teacher was arrested and questioned by police last week on suspicion of abusing her position of trust. Social services are also investigating. She has been granted bail while further inquiries are made. The alleged sexual activity is said to have taken place away from the premises of the £8,000-a-year school, whose former pupils include ex-Archbishop of Canterbury Robert Runcie. Although sixth-form students are above the age of consent, it is a criminal offence for teachers to engage in sexual activity with them because of their 'relationship of trust'. Government guidance also warns teachers that 'intimate or sexual relationships between staff and pupils will be regarded as a grave breach of trust'. Headmaster David Cook said: 'Merchant Taylors Boys' School can confirm that a member of its senior school teaching staff is the subject of an investigation by Sefton Social Services and Merseyside Police. Public school: Miss McIntyre has worked at Merchant Taylors' Boys' School, Crosby, since September 2007 'This relates to an incident of alleged misconduct which took place away from the school site and outside school hours, involving sixth-form students. 'No formal charges have been brought at this stage. As the matter is with the appropriate agenciesthe school cannot comment further. 'The school is co-operating fully, as our first priority is the safeguarding of all our students.' Miss McIntyre joined the school in September 2007 and according to its website the classics teacher is 'an able musician'. Merchant Taylors dates back to 1620, and last year 99 per cent of its pupils gained five good GCSEs, making it one of the top schools in the region. It has 620 pupils, 150 of them in the sixth form. A Merseyside Police spokesman said yesterday: 'A 24-year- old woman from Waterloo was arrested on Friday on suspicion of abusing her position of trust under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.' teddy
What classics was she teaching? C&P "Classics is the study of ancient Greek and Roman civilisation in all its aspects: languages, literature, art, archaeology, history, and culture. It embraces the distant pre-history of these civilizations as well as their continuing influence on modern society. It thus has a very broad remit, and you can find Classicists or ancient historians dealing with anything from Stone Age Crete to images of Rome in Hollywood movies". Would come in useful when negotiating a ST fee at a go go bar
