dean
I saw on flyhub.com someone selling off two certificates on Emerites for $299 a piece. They can be used for travel from either JFK or Houston to Bangkok. You would have to pay taxes of around $500 a piece on the tickets. If I were going by myself, I might try it but not with my wife. Has anyone flown this route and what kind of airline is Emerites?
shygye
Be careful with those certificates. You could easily be denied boarding! Emirates flys 777-300er and A380 to JFK. Go for the A380. The 777-300er has 10 abreast in econ. Their Dubai hub is very busy and it can be difficult to find seats.
cavanami
Emerites is excellent! My sister flew them, 1st class and the service was outstanding!! Then she flew back on United, uggggg!!! Day and night difference. United was shite in comparison.
samak
did she fly also first on United?
cavanami
Yes, 1st class on United and compared to Emerites, day and night, with United 1st class more of a cargo class. All the air attendants completely disappeared! They were too busy chatting among themselves or sleeping...WTF...1st class and no service!!! samak
agreed; in UA firstclass (not domestic) has the most senior staff and the grannies are usually too lazy, not very attentive and arrogant. i flew UA First a couple of times (all upgrades) over the pacific, now i usually take asian or european carriers depending on routes
