Yeah ..all good fun ..

Apparently April is crunch time for the current owners to pay the final amounts (this block is fully sold out) so we are talking to *owners* via the agents.. and some will not have the cash ..so buyers may well get a good price ...johnny on the spot so to speak..

 

So we look now (Feb) and come back late April/May to test the water before making our/wife's mind up.

Of course I'd really like a house...but that's not going to happen for some time. Need to get married first!

faustian why not buy a 2nd hand condo away from suk/sathorn/etc ('prime' spots) at well below 5M?

or a house out in the burbs plenty nice ones around the 5M mark - helps to have a wife else buy a shelf company to hold it (only 3 nominees needed now)...

Why not buy a used condo or a repo condo and have it redone over?

In my case, the house is in my wife's name (I am on the deed with a 30 year lease) but when my son turns 15, it will be switched to his name. After going through probate over my dad's estate (3.5 years and counting), I don't want to leave anything that the U.S./state government can get their hooks into.
