expat
So you can't get a re-entry permit on weekends in Pattaya, right?
tartempion
Immigration at NongKai is 7 days - has to be to process the border passes I assume The Thai immigration office 1 km from the bridge is closed sat/sun/holidays. The border passing/check point does not deliver anything except 15 days stamps in your passport when entering Thailand from Laos or the correct stamp when having a re-entry permit
CTO
Border Passes are for the Thai's - it's a three day stamp on a piece of paper, not a "Border Pass" as a site I can see how that can be miss read. I got a re-entry permit on a Sunday a while back. Have they stopped being open on Weekends? I know they close at 4 I think
redwood13
So you can't get a re-entry permit on weekends in Pattaya, right? Not at the Jomtien office and from what I've seen on thaivisa not at the checkpoint. -redwood
tartempion
CTO, can confirm Nong Khai Imm office (1km before bridge) is closed Sat/Sun/holiday. Had a friend call them last week to ask if they would be open Monday 9 Feb, Makha Bucha day. Firm response was YES. So he drove there to find the place closed Be assured he was pissed to have to return the next day, even worse: he got the "Friendly Officer we all love" seated at the right near the window, but that's a different story

Flashermac
So what's the SITREP at Swampypoom? Reentry permit available or not? Thai Visa posts are contradictory.
Pom Michael
Last few trips out there were still paper signs saying that the Re-Entry permits were not available at the airport - may have changed recently though (in the last 2 weeks).
