Mentors
NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 18 - Emirates Airline has announced the introduction of its double decker A380 aircraft on its Bangkok and Toronto routes a move that will see it increase capacity on the two routes by 30 percent. Beginning June 2009, the aircraft will debut in Canada while the new Thai route extends the aircraft's presence in Asia after the launch of the A380 to Sydney and Auckland in February. â??The A380 will allow Emirates to address some of the unmet need in Toronto while on Bangkok, Thailand is a great tourism destination which we hope to tap into going forward,â? said Emirates President Tim Clark. Mr Clark noted that the route will also provide a great link between Africa and Asia hence an important trade route. "This, we hope, will provide an additional impetus to improve trade between Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia by enhancing linkages through important international hubs like Dubai, London, and Nairobi," he said. He said the new aircraft routes will further offer strengthened support for popular transit markets. The A380 is set in a three-class configuration (14 First, 76 Business and 399 Economy Class seats) and spread over two levels with the upper deck dedicated to First and Business class passengers. Meanwhile the airline which is expected to receive another four A380 aircrafts into its fleet in the financial year of 2009/2010 and has announced it will introduce services to Seoul in December. http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/business/Local/Emirates-A380-heads-to-Bangkok-and-Toronto-1826.html
The_Munchmaster
The reason that they're deploying them on these routes is because they're pulling them off their New York route.

matta330
It depends where you are sitting; if you are in coach on an EK 380 it's just like a 747 but with a better in seat entertainment system. The big differences though are in First or Business class.
