I wish I knew it 3 months ago when I was driving around Thailand looking for interesting places to visit. Occasionally we would find a NP, turned up at the gate and asked what exactly we can see and do there for the 400 baht they were going to charge me. The answers were usually some mumbling about fresh air and nice views. And the brochures we sometimes came across were mostly useless. The most prominent section was always "How to get there - trains leave Chualampong ... Buses leave Mochit ..." Now why are they trying to explain how to get there because you are obviously already there as there was the only place where those brochures could be obtained.
