Steve
I haven't been on the forum as much as I usually have and I was suprised I didn't see his obit on here. Maybe it was and I just didn't see it. I was a big fan of Jack Kemp and he was one Republican I wouldn't have minded seeing in the white house. He was not part of the religious wing. He was a fiscal conservative and like a lot of 'Rockerfeller Republicans' from NY, he had a heart. I think he was self described as a bleeding heart conservative. He looked for solutions for the nations poor and underclass. He lost his fight with cancer recently. The republican party could do well to re-invent themselves with him in mind as part of a blueprint. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Kemp
Bangkoktraveler
I liked the guy also, maybe that is why he never got elected.
