Statements concerning the causes of an action seemed overly simplistic. Not nearly thorough enough.

 

Agree, meaning, the political and economic discussion was very simplistic. And it does come across as if he is taking sides.

 

Would have been better if he simply stuck to what he saw and heard during the demonstrations. Describe in clear and unexaggerated prose exactly what he saw. There is a good book there.

 

Not many others reporting on that (it's dangerous), and since Nick seems willing to take those risks, he should capitalize on that and report about that.

 

I make an effort to avoid the situations that he seems to seek out and relish. If he is going to do that, might as well focus the book on that since most of us are going to avoid putting ourselves in the line of fire.
