It would not make much differance here in South Africa. Under the black community the biggest selling items outside of Maze meal is hair straightener and skin lightener.

 

 

 

It runs down the same line as some asians thinking. If you have a lighter skin you are better off as you dont work in the fields or do manual work, thus you earn more and are in a better class.
