CTO
Bit more than Koh Samet I found - YMMV we paid 1500 for a bungalow right on the sand - air and tv - 5 of us in a bed
Lusty
Thinking about Koh Chang for Christmas holiday. Would like to catch some sun, go diving, eat some good food, relax by the pool. Any thoughts on whether it is a good choice and where to stay? As far as hotels, I'm not too discerning. I'm perfectly happy with places like Admiral Premier, Dynasty Grande. The Dynasty Inn in Pattaya was a bit rough though and wouldn't like to do that again. Beachside bungalow type would be great. I'm there from the 6th-12th January so if you get bored you can always get pissed with me!
Bangkoktraveler
How much should one expect to pay per night for a good room? I think I got a room once for 50 baht. The building had three rooms - seperate entrances to each room. One room had 3 Thai girls in it and another room had a married couple in it. I got the center room. The walls were made of a woven mat material. The wall between me and the 3 Thai girls had a big hole in it - [color:red]about the size of a big glory hole[/color]. Needless to say, when I woke up that morning, both parties were gone.... maybe I snored too loud.
