drogon
'nombreuses belles femmes' in plural.... femmes = feminine noun............ By the way, alliance française courses suck big time, mainly due to their teachers otherwise the program is ok (and are quite expensive) but sadly there are not many other French courses in BKK. Better for you to learn German at the Goethe institut, at least the teachers there are motivated. Best way to practice French -> use the services of one of the few French speaking Thais who offer their translator/assistant/interpreter skills. BelgianBoy
'nombreuses belles femmes' in plural....femmes = feminine noun............ I was hoping you fell for that, and of course you took the bait.... By the way, alliance française courses suck big time, mainly due to their teachers otherwise the program is ok (and are quite expensive) but sadly there are not many other French courses in BKK. On the contrary, not expensive and very professional. Better for you to learn German at the Goethe institut, at least the teachers there are motivated. how does that help the OP who wants to learn French he ? drogon
Seems someone continues to post empty things. The courses are quite expensive (at least the last time I went and by Thai standards) and the quality is not good. Of course this is just my opinion as a native French speaker and someone who taught French during one year as well as one who went to a few courses there to assess the level and teaching methods.... BelgianBoy
one year as a teacher ? was that before or after being in hotel management, an historian, a weatherman, a proffessional soldier, a professional expat, an IT specialist, and what else ? and you are now what ? 32 yo ? so, as a native french speaker, who also taught French, why the need to go to Alliance Francaise he ? like you stated, better learn German ! Flashermac
It hasn't been taught since 1975 any way. After the Pathet Lao seized power, Russian replaced French in the schools. That went out years ago, and now everyone wants to learn English.

Flashermac
I did hear French in Laos ... my first visit in the summer of 1974! I also spoke a bit of French with an older gentleman on my last visit a few years ago. He studied it as a teen, before the "people's revolution" brought "true democracy". Lao colleges don't bother translating text books. They buy Thai texts, which Laos can easily read.
