Guest
Hi tech experts, Anyone can spell out the orange mobile price plans that is newly launched in THailand? I went to the website www.orange.co.th alas all are in Thai scripts. Heard that there is a per second price plan, and a usual prepaid price plan to counter One2Call and DPROMPT. Cheers
Palatkik
Doesn't look like there's an English language site up yet. The Thai one mentions the post paid Talk Plans ranging from 800B through 1500B and the prepaid Just Talk with 300B through 1000B prepaid cards. Didn't see any reference to per second rates only per minute. Cheers,
gummigut
Nation or the Post had an article about the Orange price plan. 300 baht for 180 minute of calls. Nokia 3310 is going to cost 3900 baht. The 8550 I think is going to cost 8900 baht or some such. This was really the pitch of the article, that the phones Orange is going to sell is going to be about 1/2 the price of AIS and DTAC. Bring it more in line with the rest of the world. Then, the papers reported the next day that AIS is going to clean it's IMEI numbers. Thus, if you don't have a registered AIS phone, they were going to cut you off. So, if you bought an AIS sim card, but not an AIS phone or had your phone chipped, it will no longer work. Got to buy another phone from AIS. Things are really heating up. These are only the things in the newspapers. The behind the scenes stuff must be really pyrotechnic. <<burp>>
