Mekong
I am not sure about the rest of the world but in UK having the Number 1 single over Christmas is a big thing, For the past 3 years it has been dominated by manufactured crap churned out from that pompous twat Simon Cowell's reality TV Show X-Factor (UK Version of American Idol) UK Youths answered back and there was an online movement to knock Cowell out of his stride and there was a concerted effort to download the excellent tune "Killing in the Name of" by "Rage Against the Machine" from 1992. Well bugger me, they did it RATM is Xmas Number 1 in UK, best Number since 1978, Pink Floyd Anaother Brick in the Wall (Part II) fkuOAY-S6OY

Mekong
Tom Morello is probably my favourite guitarist in the past 20 years ranking slightly above Dave Navarro. On the Construction Camp Site at work we have a loose amalgamation of Muso's who have a weekly jam in the bar under the name of "Pearl Necklace" who often knock out RATM and Audioslave tunes. chuckwoww
Why would Cowell care? He owns Sony BMG which owns both the tracks.
Mekong
Bollox Simon Cowell owns Simco Limited (SyCo) which in itself is a subsidruary of Sony, no the other way around. SyCo gain nothing from RATM.
chuckwoww
But no doubt Cowell gets a nice kickback from Sony. How many shares does he own? Anyway the important think is that everybody makes money....including RATM and McElderberry and Facebook. Anybody who sees this as a political statement needs a tune-up. It's show business.
