How'd an airborne grunt ended up with a job like that? You should be a mercenary or something.

That was a ways back, more than 15 years ago now. Seems like a different lifetime. Still in touch with a couple people, but everyone has moved on and settled down. Most of the people I've met in LA don't even know that about me. Ha. They'd be surprised.

 

You experienced a lot more in a year than I did in 3+.

 

btw, I've already had back and forth correspondence with Thammasat about their program.

 

Have one decision to make, whether to pull the trigger and do it this year or postpone one. My job is making it difficult for me to leave. I'll have to flat-out quit to do it this year, lose a bonus in the process and burn bridges (with some good folks). Sucks. Aaaaaargh.

 

I might have to delay a year. I don't know.

 

Like you described before though, I have itchy feet and feel a need to get away from the current routine. Whatever.
