tartempion
Well it's not just Eva. Etihad business class promotion BKK-CDG 2007 paid 55K baht 2008 65K 2009 75K 2010 price 120K. I just reached Gold status, flew 2 business returns +1 eco with upgrade using miles last year. 2010 I have two returns booked in economy, see if gold perks are worth it and might fly Jet Airways from India later this year to save on economy ticket. temfarang
1st: I really like EVA's schedule .. arrive Bkk early afternoon instead of midnight as do my other direct transpacific options ( = no domestic connections) .. connecting through Seoul or Narita. March 24: a econo ticket on EVA is about $850+ the deluxe class used to be about 1100+ .. now 1450+ being part of the 'down trodden masses' $600 for 30 hours ( = transpacific 2x +/-) is a lot .. I do not take home $175 per day & to pay 4 days net income extra for a little discomfort is uncomfortable. (I just did the math that's like getting paid $20 per hour net to sit in an "abu ghraib seat" .. ) from Taipei to Bkk there is no deluxe class. the econ seats kick my butt (shoulders, neck & legs) & 'ruin me' for several days each way. decisions decisions decisions .. I remain uncomfortable with the cost, but me thinks, not as uncomfortable as I am in cattle car class. I'm getting some dental work done in Bkk & might have a few pain meds left for the return flight! $600 = 20k = 3 x 2 BG LT parties + 4 hours of Thai & oil massage at King & I = no brainer! .. ? wonder what I'll think tomorrow?
