WorldFun
'practical implications on the streets' would include the increased likelyhood of CBD shops & biz reopening along with traffic links, roads etc. But it'll take a bit of time say end of the week

Nervous God
The Reds move freely around the city, despite what is going on. Coming back from Immigration, I passed several on motorcycles in their red shirt splender ... and looking for all the world like hired gunmen. The ordinary Reds are simple folk, no doubt peaceful. But the Red leaders also have some very nasty folks on their payroll. The Yellows do too, and so do the Blue. They are the ones to watch out for. These mercenaries are the ones who will do any fighting. I remember the Red Shirt guards at the pro-Thaksin radio station last year - walking around with steel pipes and machetes in their hands. (This was after some Yellow Shirts had shot at them.) Apparently, the Reds have their food and water delivered to them whenever they take over an area. So the solution ... block that supply and see how long they hold out in this heat. :content: Flash - most reasonable post from you for a long time, thank you.
