Bad hair day? Seriously, the last thing Kasit wants is peace restored to Thailand and elections in November. This is the same guy who dismissed the yellow shirt occupation of the airport as a "harmless party". There are actors in the yellow and red shirt camps who are trying their damndest to prevent a peaceful outcome. Simply not willing to accept any compromise. Too much at stake for them personaly. And what an embarrasing stunt by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Agreed a stupid stunt. But surely you can see the folly in giving in to mobs/terrorists/etc in a democracy and why an early election forced at gunpoint is a bad thing. It is not a compromise, but a bribe. And it will never stop.

would e.g. greece welcome thai diplomats who can share an experience or 9 on handling terrorists blowing up banks etc? No I didn't think so. USA stop meddling or else China will step in

Except the US wasn't meddling. The Thai foreign ministry itself was involved in setting up the breakfast. Krasit then cancelled at the last minute. How is that the US's fault?
