kamui Posted June 5, 2010 Report Share Posted June 5, 2010 Can someone, anyone, give me any ray of hope? I don't see us coming back as strong after this crisis is over. I see us still on that slippery slope in decline. Nope, it will only get worse. One major reason: the extremely bad and unjust US education system. It produces more and more uneducated teens who can't even read a newspaper (and who don't believe in natural siences anyway, but in intelligent design) while the numbers of highly qualified engineers is going down rapidly. I recently read that China is producing thousands of airplane engineers, while in the US it went down to a few hundreds... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
