tartempion
I'm in my 9th year living here and used to walk weekly markets. Nowadays I rarely shop there, quality of items being near zero, we do the fruit & vegs parts from time to time. Yesterday though we did the full local weekly market at Nong Han, Udon Thani province. The big surprise were the low and very low prices of items as compared to previous years. Are sellers that desperate to sell? Also seems not many buyers on the market. My house is full of cheap reading glasses, thus I never have to run around finding one. In any shopping mall they will ask 200B, on "talad nat" I always got them for 100 or 99B. To my surprise yesterday I saw them at 69B at the first stall and 59B at the second stall. Saw T-shirts at 59B, never saw them that cheap, but largest size was L, too small for my belly. Ugly leather(?) man shoes were 250B. Not-too-ugly women shoes 100B Anyway, everywhere we checked prices of all kinds of items and GF was surprised to see all time low prices, so was I. Anyone has similar observations?

Nervous God
Been like that for at least a year now. We get two markets a week in the village, tiny, 5 stalls at most, and one larger nearby. Quality of some stuff pretty good. Sunglasses at 50baht, even cheaper T Shirts Also a large number of second hand clothing - more due to fashion than price. shygye
... maybe test the sunglasses at an optician for UV protection. Without UV protection sunglasses can cause more harm than no sunglasses.
