rchapstick
I am trying to get my One-2-Call Sim to roam in the USA on either AT&T or T-Mobile. AIS claims that the account is set up to roam, but the phone will only allow for 911/emergency calls ... no incoming or outgoing calls/SMS. Trying to set up to receive SMS notifications. AIS support is clueless, and ATT/T-Mo say it is AIS's problem. Any ideas on how to activate this?? A free beer for the winner.
Vintage_Kwai
From the AIS website: http://www.roaming.ais.co.th/ais-ir-out-otc-web/home-out-otc.html You may have to click on the 'EN' icon for English. Hope that helps.
rchapstick
Negative .... does not work. Per AIS, I should be able to simply roam with my 1-2-call sim (e.g. make and receive calls, receive SMS'). AIS says the sim is set for that to happen, but the phone will only allow SOS/911 calls. TheCorinthian
I played with mine in the US once, did not work. My GF though got hers to work for a while when she came to visit. But I think it ate up her minuets FAST.
LizardKing
My guess is that AIS is wrong, that it is not set up to roam. There is nothing you have to do: just turn on the phone and it'll do the rest (if set on auto network selection).

manaomaiminam
When I was in USA (July-mid Sept), I turned on my phone with AIS several times and connected with AT&T. I got SMS's from Thailand (some real, some AIS ads). Sent test SMS to my US mobile sim, it worked. Did not want to call since AT&T international rates are ungodly high. Did nothing special as far as I know with AIS, but my USA AT&T account is set up for international, but then again, this sim would not ID me as having any connection with AT&T.
