TheCorinthian
I agree with Lizzy. But I will go further and say she is likely afraid they will ask her what bar she works at. My GF, who has a green card and who's dad is in the USMC, still is jittery about seeming to be a bar girl. Your GF is likely thinking the same thing, whether she is one or not. MooNoi
Not at all, TC - I've talked to her about this issue, and she was very surprised I had brought it up with her. I think it makes a difference when you lived in a country for a long while as I did in LOS - my friends don't think its at all strange I would have a Thai gf after living there. Also, the fact that I'm still in my 30's and there's only 9 years difference between us probably helps in this regard too. Finally, she always presents well when she goes out, has pale skin and doesn't have that "fresh off the bus look". She also thinks I am a very good boy who believes gogo bars are places of sin, enslavement and debauchery and best avoided. Hugh_Hoy
I'm guessing that when she asked him if he was going to Pattaya, he said "where is that"? HH

passingthru69
my wife used to not want to meet any of the people I work eith. She would just stay in the truck and not want to go eat with other people. She used to say I do not understand their english well and do not know how to answer them. Well slowly in time she would go eat with us and then stay a bit longer before going back to our truck. Today she has made several friends ladies and males. She feels more comfortable now. Their are a few she does not like and will not go out to eat with them. Plus their are some we both avoid...Just rude and not social people.
