LizardKing
Am I detecting revisionist history here? This is, of course, a common conservative revision, that Hitler was not a Christian. The writer claims: "Hitler believed religion had no place in his 1,000-year Reich," yet, for example Wehrmarcht solders were issued belt buckles with the words "Gott Mitt Uns" (God is with us). Flashermac
Ahem. The Wehrmacht was the German Army. Gott Mit Uns was carried over from the Empire and had a history going far beyond that. The SS was Hitler's private army and used the motto Meine Ehre heißt Treue - My Honour is Loyalty - and wore a buckle that said Blut und Ehre! Hitler had early on decided that Jesus was fathered by a German mercenary in the Roman Legion, which meant he was smarter than the average Jew. Still, Hitler wanted nothing to do with Christianity, since after all it grew out of ... JUDAISM!
