Flashermac
If he had not been Steve Jobs, loaded with money, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. Sondhi Limthongkul stepped up a bit in my opinion when he devoted the cover of his latest Manager magazine entirely to Steve Jobs, with a tribute inside. He dropped the usual trashing of the Shinawatra family for this week anyway.
kamui
If he had not been Steve Jobs, loaded with money, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. If Jobs would have had the usual Pancreas cancer he wouldn't have survived longer than 6 months, being and billionaire wouldn't have mattered at all. In a sense he was lucky when he got his diagnosis for a very rare kind of Pancreas cancer in 2003 and this combined with first class medical let him survive for so long. The mortality rate of Pancreas cancer after 5 years is 95%. Which means when you get the diagnosis you are as good as dead. With his liver transplantation he was able to cross the 5 year threshold, but not for that long. PS: my father died on pancreas cancer. It was a terrible way of dying which took around 6 months and very strong pain killers like morphine.

cavanami
For years it was said that Jobs had a daughter when he was young but never acknowledged her until much later in his life. He had his dark side!
Bangkoktraveler
Conservatives claim Jobs as one of their own. Maybe because of his Moslem father and/or his association with the Hare Krisnas where he got free food. Jobs' enlightenment under the influence of LSD does seem to resonate with GWB's enlightenment under coke so there is some similarity.
