gawguy
I'm getting the impression that the phone SIM / internet providers don't tell you how many Gb's you have used, most likely cause they don't want millions of customers disputing the issue. When I go to True H website, I get info but it seems useless. Or at least not what I want. I'd like to know when I'm going to run out of download and will be switched to Edge. Here's info from True: Details of Service 12 1025 Service Number : xxxxxxxxxxx Current Promotion : Pre Paid Net Sim 3G+: Enjoy 3G+ at max. speed 42Mbps, just 2Bt/MB and Wi-Fi 1 Bt/Min Balance Remain : 5.50 baht Expiration date : 2012-12-19 23-59-59 Value Added Service 12 1025 3G/EDGE/GPRS/WiFi Promotion WIFI_Bonus Start Date 09/10/2012 00:00:00 End Date 08/12/2012 23:59:59 Balance (Unit) 3 Hour Value Added Services 3G+/EDGE/GPRS Promotion Type Start Date 14/10/2012 00:00:00 End Date 13/11/2012 23:59:59 Receive (Unit) 1.2 GB WiFi Promotion Type Start Date 14/10/2012 00:00:00 End Date 13/11/2012 23:59:59 Receive (Unit) 10 Hour Value Added Service & Remaining Balance Service Number xxxxxxxxxxx Promotion Remainig Balance Start Date 2012-10-09 19-21-25 End Date 2012-12-25 23-59-59 Remaining balance 5.50 Bonus Start Date 2012-10-10 00-00-00 End Date 2012-12-25 23-59-59 Remaining balance 48.00 I think I've been getting the same info since I set up. I would think in USA I'd have access to all info. Gaw Guy

Mekong
With 1024 MB/GB that is THB 2,447, or to put it another way it would cost THB 6,144 to use up my monthly 3GB/Month of 3G allowance on a post paid account that I pay less than 20% of that for both Mobile Phone plan and Data plan. If you are here legit then I don't see the problem of going to AIS in Pattaya with your passport and "Proof of Address" (Utility Bill, Rent agreement etc) on signing up for a decent account. I don't use anyway near 3GB/Month, I have WiFi at home, WiFi in the Pattaya apartment and 90% of the places I goto have free WiFi, I probably use most of my 3G data when sat in the back of a Taxi in an area of the city I have never been to before and checking it out on Apple Maps if we find somewhere we like be it a good restaurant or a street market just "Drop a Pin" and bookmark it, you soon build up a good collection of places to visit. For the record, I don't go shopping at street markets, she drops me off at some coffee shop where I can relax for a couple of hours with the latest edition of "Classic Rock" magazine on my iPad whilst she does her shopping. Boo Radley
I use NetWorx (free) for monitoring internet usage which works nicely. As far as I'm aware, there's only a pc version though. http://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/
