Specialist
The airplane is a Northrop F-5 "Freedom Fighter" (single-seat version of the venerable T-38 "Talon"), but I don't recognize that tail marking. Whose is that?

gobbledonk
Ain't google amzin! 103 Sqn. Korat Nakornrajasrima of the Royal Thai Air Force. http://www.aircraftr...rajarng/00.shtm Which in turn took me to here http://www.fescanpho...bum3/index.html The 'Bar Girls of Korat' page is an absolute mindblower for mine - I was all of seven years old in 1966, but most of those girls would be my sisters age now (66), assuming they are still alive. She even had photos where she has a beehive hairdo and clothes not too dissimilar to those in the photos (no, she wasnt a Thai hooker ...), and those guys could easily be Aussies on RnR from SVN. While there are some undeniable cuties in that lot, I think it also highlights that 'fat, bored girls' are nothing new in the bars despite what some might have us believe. Specialist
Thank you, gentlemen. I guess it is time for me to start looking for a job that has me around airplanes again. I'd almost forgotten how much I enjoyed looking at them.
gobbledonk
Is it true that 'Garuda' is Indonesian for 'large bird in flames' ? I shouldnt tempt fate - I'll be flying into Soekarno-Hatta in just a few short months. Really dreading that traffic - even BKK doesnt leave me with the same hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach.
