Today 11-11-2013 will be shit hit the fan day or it all goes away peacefully day ... let us hope for the peaceful option.

First of all, until about 22.30 I could find reports on the red shirts in Muang Thong Thani yesterday. Their speeches where aggressive, they are willing to fight and die they say ....... fighting the anti-government protesters that is. They bussed in people from Isaan (guess whom paid for that) as opposed to having people come out spontaneously. Attendance figures go from 10,000 to 100,000. After 22.30 I have not seen any news about them anymore, so have they gone home? Are they still camping there preparing to march against the Ratchadamnoen protesters? Buddha knows.

The anti government protesters (not calling them anti-amnesty bill anymore as the mood has dramatically escalated) have declared today to be D-Day. Apart from the 3 protest sites of 3 different groups on Ratchadamnoen there will be protests at Ratchada, Silom, Asoke, Saphan Kwai and Aree today at noon, after which the people from there will march on Ratchadamnoen to. So expect traffic chaos!

The Democrat stage at Democracy monument (the group closest to Khao San rd) will start a people's court of the Shinawatra family at 18.00 if the amnesty bill is not withdrawn by that time.

At 10.00 the senate will start debating that amnesty bill.

At 16.00 Thai time the verdict of the International Court of Justice in The Hague will be read on the Cambo-Thai spat over 4 square kilometers and a temple. The last clashes in that area in 2011 about 30 people died. This could end badly as a group of ultra nationalists is pressuring the government to take extreme measures if Thailand loses this case.

I am probably forgetting some other highlights of the day I am sorry for that. Have a nice day!

Motorists warned of complete traffic chaos today

Traffic police warned of expected complete traffic chaos today as anti-government protests are scheduling protests at various significant intersections and places in the inner zones of the capital to heighten their protest against the government.

The police advised motorists to keep their vehicles or to turn to subway and sky train services for travels as anti-amnesty and anti-government protests are planning simultaneous rallies together at at least four places, Asoke, Silom, Ratchathevee, Phyathai, and start foot marches along the streets of Bangkok after their whistle blowing at 12. 34 p.m. today.

Their destinations are still unknown but traffic police said that if they start marching out, traffic chaos are expected in the commercial areas of Bangkok covering Silom, Asoke, Phyathai, Ratchavithee, Victory Monument ,Sukhumvit, Klong Toey, Nana, Mitsamphan, Yommaraj, Rajdamnern, Democracy Monument and all other adjacent areas.

The worst ever traffic is expected from noon today and that all motorists should avoid driving to these areas, and use subway and sky train services instead.

Meanwhile all schools at the vicinity of Democracy Monument are ordered close for three days from November 11-13 as anti-government protest is expected to escalate as the Senate is scheduled deliberate the controversial amnesty bill, and the ruling by the International Court of Justice is scheduled to be reached today.

Security is also heightened to maximum level as anti-government protest at the Democracy Monument earlier threatened to upgrade the protest to now ousting the Yingluck Government if it failed to come out with reply to their ultimatum to kill the bill permanently.
