diago
Hi db_sed_aloha, Would be a fun, nostalgic and pointless poll - what's the slowest modem you ever used. I remember 2400 baud. Yuck. And the modem was the size of a toaster. ;-) ------------------------- Hate to admit it but I still remember getting my first 300 baud. The speed was amazing at the time. Started beta testing for US Robotics before the release of the 1200 baud modems and remained active through the 33K baud modems. Ancient history now. Thanks to the computer gods for broadband. diago
Guest
Presto, here's a poll. I remember the BBS days before the Internet when modems were 300/1200/2400 baud. Browsing was much faster than 56K modems of today because back then bulletin boards just had to fill some simple text lines on your screen. Now with images, audio, video, and rich web pages, modems are just too slow for the function they need to serve. What's the lowest baud rate you have used? 300 1200 2400 4800 9600 19200 28K 36K 56K never used a modem connection
