One of my friends was in charge of Metropolitan police HQ defense today. He will be off duty after 08.00 AM (they have 24 hour shifts). I hope he gets out of there before it gets worse. In other countries (including Australia), they would have been wading into the protestors on horseback by now. We've seen it in every big conference hosted in Australia, and I have little doubt that there will blood on the streets after the next G20 in Brisbane 2014.
