Hm False Flag???

Hard to know what is what...

The core of this protest is all about politics and how much either side can benefit from the protest.

Bluesky continues to show people giving money to the protest leaders. Is this how the black money is

being infused to the protest?

Last night, Suthep reading the amounts of "donations", 50,000 mentioned very often.

...and people who donate to political actions never look for a return? I don't think so...

Oops.

"Police are seeking two men, one believed to be an aide of a former Democrat MP, seen in a video clip of the grenade explosion that killed one protester and injured scores of others in the rally at Banthat Thong Road on Friday afternoon."

Looks like someone may have gotten careless, and the Third Hand of the Democrats might've been caught on camera, manufacturing a horrible incident to blame on the Red Shirts.

Damn, you've nailed it! The Thai police are on the job and thank God they are neutral.

Wonder why some of the marchers immediately raced into the building they "saw" the grenade thrown from. And I wonder who planted the clothing and weapons the police and army found in the building? :hmmm:

Protesters demand prompt and fair probe by police

Protest leaders yesterday demanded that police conduct a fair and speedy investigation into Friday's grenade attack.

Satit Wongnongtaey, a senior Democrat Party member and leader of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), denied that the PDRC staged a bomb attack on its own protesters, which led to one death and 40 people being injured.

He said a video clip purportedly showing a grenade being thrown from a pickup truck belonging to a protester was not reliable and tantamount to an attempt to slander the PDRC.

Satit said that on closer perusal one could see that the grenade was thrown from an abandoned building on Banthad Thong Road. Satit also said the PDRC did not abruptly change course to march on that route, as accused by some. The route was part of plans from the beginning.

Satit warned that police should be protecters of civilians, not the killers.

Former Democrat MP Kowit Tharana, meanwhile, denied owning the pickup truck shown in the video. He said although his name was printed on the truck, it belonged to his aide, who was also injured in the attack, so it made no sense that his aide would be the one who carried out the attack as no one wants to be a suicide bomber. :dunno:

Kowit said the bomb was thrown from a building and people on the back of the pickup truck were lucky as the grenade appeared to have hit a power line on a pole before hitting the ground.

PDRC protesters led by Chumpol Julsai went to the national police headquarters yesterday and submitted a letter to deputy police chief Pol Lt-General Amnart Anart-ngam, demanding a speedy and fair investigation into the blast on Friday.

Chumpol said the PDRC was happy to have police ensuring safety of protesters but they must be in uniform.

Amnart, meanwhile, said the police were speeding the investigation to the best of their ability and expressed satisfaction that nothing untoward happened yesterday.

PDRC secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban led another march yesterday along Phetchaburi Road and Rama IV Road amid heavy security and many well-wishers along the way. Only journalists were allowed to be close to Suthep.

Suthep said there was nothing he and the PDRC could have done to prevent what happened on Friday and guards were sent to Banthad Thong Road in advance, as they knew some buildings were not occupied.

"We have to go on with our fight because what we are doing is for our country," Suthep told reporters, although he added the movement was on "full alert".

Meanwhile, Democrat spokesman Chavanond Intarakomalyasut accused the government of killing protesters and wanting to shutdown the Kingdom. He said the party would write a letter to the United Nations and other international organisations to complain about the matter, and the letters would probably be signed by party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva.

In a related development, Narathiwat police chief Pol Maj-General Pattanawut Angkhanawin insisted yesterday that a red cap that Bangkok police found along with weapons at an abandoned building following the Banthat Thong bombing against anti-government protesters did not belong to the Narathiwat police as claimed.

The cap, which carried the words "Assault Unit" in Thai, was shown on social media, which led to claims that it belonged to a police officer who had undergone assault unit training in Narathiwat. Pattanawut told a press conference the cap certainly wasn't from local police because the province didn't send any police to join the crowd control mission in Bangkok, officially or secretly. He said the cap also carried a different font and symbol from those used by Narathiwat police.

He urged all sides not to bring police from the South into the political protest, as insurgents may want to use such claims to create disunity in the region.

And still the same old bullshite of the "Bangkok middle class" ... despite the presence of tens of thousands of Southerners, thousands from the North and Issan and even more ordinary working class Bangkok Thais. Why the fark don't these "journalists" actually visit a protest site and see who is there? :banghead:

p.s. I might have more respect for the "journalists" if they at least asked somebody how to PRONOUNCE THE BLOODY NAMES of the people and places they are describing. :wanker:

And if I get irate, it is because I have visited the protest camps - in 2006 (yellows), 2010 (reds) and 2013-14 (whistle blowers). How can you know what is happening, if you just sit around the FCC getting sloshed and listing to other "journalists"?

Kuwait, Oman tell their nationals to leave Thailand

Kuwait and Oman have advised their nationals to leave Thailand, according to a senior Foreign Ministry official.

Sek Wannamethee, director-general of the Foreign Ministry's Information Department, said Kuwait and Oman have told their nationals to leave the country.

They are the first to have issued such advice to their people, as other countries have so far only advised their nationals against travelling to Thailand, or to avoid areas of protest in Bangkok.

The United Arab Emirates, another Middle Eastern state, has advised its nationals to postpone their trips to Thailand, he said.

So far, 46 countries have issued warnings for their nationals regarding the renewed political tensions in Thailand, according to Sek.

Meanwhile, violence continued yesterday against anti-government protesters and their key supporters.

Home-made "ping pong" bombs were thrown into a protest site near the Lat Phrao intersection before noon yesterday. Witnesses said two explosions were heard. The bombs were thrown from a van passing over the Lat Phrao flyover bridge. The protest site's guards on motorcycles managed to intercept the van and apprehended the two men inside.

The alleged assailants were later questioned by the protesters at the Lat Phrao venue. The two men are red-shirt members from Pathum Thani and one of them was found to be carrying an ID card for a red-shirt guard, according to Suchart Srisang, a protest leader.

The protesters were considering whether to hand over the alleged assailants to police, said protest leader Issara Somchai, who is in charge of the Lat Phrao site.

In Nakhon Pathom, unknown assailants fired gunshots into Or Noi Temple in the early hours yesterday. No injuries were reported.

It was the second consecutive drive-by shooting targeting the Buddhist temple, whose abbot Phra Buddha Issara is an anti-government protest leader.*

Security-camera footage showed that the shots were fired from a passing car.

*Maybe the monks shot at their own temple to gain sympathy. :hmmm:

At least 4 injured in grenade attack at Victory Monument rally site

At least four people were injured when assailants lobbed two grenades at the back of the rally stage at the Victory Monument.

The attack was carried out at 1:40 pm by about six men on motorcycles who fled the scene.

An assailant hurled the first grenade but it hit a tree. While they were fleeing, one of them hurled another grenade to direction at the back of the stage.

Most of the injured are street vendors at the scene.

Latest news is that a Bangkok Post reporter is one of the wounded. The second grenade was thrown to try to clear an escape route, but the police reportedly caught the mad bomber. Many more than just 4 wounded ... perhaps as many as 23. I haven't heard Yingluck or anyone else in PT condemn these attacks yet. :hmmm:

Early report from the PDRC:

"Breaking news: 2 explosions at the Victory Monument stage. Initial reports of 4 injured - 2 women and 2 men. One is a Post Today reporter. Attackers were riding motorbikes and aiming for PDRC core leader Thavorn Seniam, but missed causing the first explosive to hit a tree instead. The second explosive was then lobbed."
