You love to blame Prayuth for everything negative, but he has nothing to do with the porn block. It started under Abhisit, but went whole hog under Yingluck. The politicians are against people seeing naughty pics.

Actually, come to think of it, the ban may have been started under Purachai Piemsomboon, Thakisn's "Mr Clean" who enforced some old early closing hours for bars and nightclubs and also led the police to "invade" nightclubs and demand urine samples from everyone present. He's the one who stopped nudity in bars (for a while). :hmmm:

... and Emperor Prayuth doubles down on the censorship of the internet and Thai mass media. :closemouth:

The worry with Prayuth is that depending on what he had for dinner on Thursday, his mood on Friday, he could come up with virtually any random idea for his Friday night talk... and next thing you know, it's law! Anyone remember when Ne Win one day switched the Burmese currency from 50 and 100 kyat notes, to the bizarre 45 and 90 kyat note system that they used for years? Let's hope Prayuth's lucky number is not 9, like Ne Win, (4+5 = 9, 9 x 5 = 45, 9 +0 = 9, 9 x 10 = 90...) so Thailand doesn't go through the same madness that can result from the whims of an unqualified individual dictating law and economy...

But back to volleyball! Not just beach volleyball deserves the attention - I'm in love with the current Thai women's volleyball team, fortunately they seem to be on TV quite often this year and last (often losing, regrettably, to many powerhouse teams, but looking absolutely charming and oh-so-Thai in doing so - one of the few national highlights of light, a team that is clearly having fun playing their game and exhibiting Thai ethics of friendliness, team play, and good spirit - love these girls!)
