Guest
Every folder needs a bit of whimsy, so I hope the moderator doesn't mind this post. Was just thinking today that I've never had the perfect live-work situation. The good paying jobs always had a long commute or a bad boss, the fun and easy-to-get-to jobs never paid well, and so on. So, here's a chance if you're of a mind to tell the class what you'd really, really like out of your work and life situation. For me, I think my dream job would be a bit of a hybrid. If I could spend half the work week doing manual tasks [painting, carpentry, a bit of plumbing and electrical here and there] and the other half doing computer work [web sites, scripts, log analysis, desktop support], then I'd probably a happy camper. I could see this happening as a handyman/IT specialist at a small resort, preferably on a tropical island or sunny coast where the coffee was good, the women pleasing to the eye and the weather fair. *sigh*
Guest
Might be my very first post here... I truly cannot imagine how anybody's dream life would include any work at all! My life will absolutely completely suck as long as I HAVE to work, regardless of what the work might be. All those stories of people actually LIKING their jobs must be urban legends or just simply kee-kwai.

Seriously, I think there is one guy out there who has THE dream job/life... Mark Cuban. One of the luckiest mofakas in the world. Everyone thought he was nuts when he cashed out. 20/20 huh.
