Thai Phone Service.

Now WTF? I registered my phone maybe 9 years ago, and when I checked True said I had already done so. I just called a friend and instead got a message warning me that by law I was not going to be able to use my number. It then told me I had 490 baht credit valid until 27 July. At least the message was in English, but what the hell is going on? I did what I was supposed to and am still getting warnings like this.

When I use *9344 to try to extend my time, I get a long message in Thai telling me to do something. Damned if I know what, since True already told I was registered. I was advised to use *934# instead, but when I do I get informed in English that there is no such service available.

What is going on and what am I expected to do?

p.s. I just called 1331, the True number to verify if you've registered. When I called that number several months ago, they said I was registered. But when I called now, True says I'm not!

I'd suggest that anyone else using True call 1331 to find what your status is. You never know what True is up to.
