By all accounts, Jones set the stage on fire during her headlining set at Saturday’s installment of the two day Afropunk festival in Brooklyn. The fearless diva mesmerized the crowd by appearing topless, accessorizing with only body paint, grass skirts, and even a damn hula hoop. The show ended with Jones hula-hooping through her performance of 1985 hit “Slave to the Rhythm.†Jones isn’t known for putting on demure shows and in her long and storied career, has performed in everything from ornate, complicated costumes, flamboyant masks and even a gorilla suit.
