JJsushi
I always hear about IT and teaching jobs, but what about other specialized positions such as banking, law, marketing, music, film, etc?
Long Gun
Only way a teacher is going to get near the 100 K range is at an international school -- and they usually hire overseas. Some good contracts that way though, including air fare and perks. But it is lower level teaching (mainly secondary) and not a lot of fun. Also, expect them to work your butt off for it. Flash I really don't know what you base these comments on, you have made them before and I disagreed with you then and to my knowledge you have never worked in an international school so ..... I have been teaching for 22 years and I have never had as much fun doing it as in the last few. It is a damn sight easier than teaching in the UK, largely due to the well-motivated, cheerful, polite, well above-average ability students as well as smaller classes, better resources, support staff etc, etc, etc. Of course the 16 weeks' paid holiday helps to get through it too. I'm also interested in what you mean by 'lower level teaching'!?! LG
