On November 16th, 2023, Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukvimol, the commissioner general of the Royal Thai Police, publicly revealed the expungement of more than 9.3 million out of 13 million convictions within 2 years.

Thai reporters mentioned Ex-Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, currently undergoing treatment in the Police General Hospital, and whether he is in the criteria for expungement or not. Pol. Gen. Torsak answered to Thai reporters that Thaksin is not in the criteria as he committed felony crimes with a sentence of more than 1 year...
