Much has been written about how many months or even years

of patient courting is required before a TG will become intimate.

I would probably dismiss it as bragging by yet another "virgin

raider". But it happened to me, and since I was completely sober

that day I believe it was not a dream. Everything in the following

I arranged to meet in front of Robinsons at 7 o'clock. She arrives

at 7:00 sharp, her younger sister (19) in tow. Fair enough, I kind

of expected she would bring someone on her first date. The first

impression is somewhat disappointing. Her face is not quite as

attractive as in the photo, she is wearing some stupid long skirt

which doesn't fit her at all. But most of all, she is very shy. When

I introduce myself she doesn't recognise me and for a while even

refuses to look at me. Her voice is so quiet that I barely hear what

she says, not that she says much anyway. Her sister is much more

outgoing, relaxed and louder and she helps to break the ice.

off to the skytrain. During the entire journey to Victory Monument

we exchange exactly one question and answer. She is so stiff she

When we get in the taxi I notice she sits much closer to me than is

I explain that after all that dancing I desperately need a shower. When I

I believe all this premium on virginity was imported to Thailand, thru centuries of western infiltration. If one reads about not so distant sexual customs in many SEA countries, it's all there to see that sexual vigor from both sexes was not frowned upon. When i stayed in malaysia, I often heard that "malay (muslim) girls are very loose". (not so) deep in her psyche, your little virgin still had the libido of an original indigenous. Should move that thread to Arts and Culture, IMO

i do have to disagree there.

first of all, buddhism has some very strict rules on sexual conduct, not only for the monks, but as well for the laymen.

secondly, in the traditional village society virginity was for a young woman very important.

when my missus was a child living in a far off village, a unmarried woman seen even close to an unmarried man were forced to marry. her sister was married because she was seen sitting in the same room as her future husband by my missus, who went straight to her mother. mother burst into the room and announced the marriage. if the guy would have refused my missus father would have killed him.

things now are very different, drugs, prostitution, etc. but that i would see more as signs of the collapse of traditional structures than an example of sexual liberation.

I have no problems believing your story.

I have a friend some 40 ys plus, overweight, receding hairline (and now I am being kind ) who spends hours on end on icq/yahoo/MSN chatting up thaigirls in their early twenties or even younger.

He is having a pretty good success rate to my surprise.

He speaks thai quite well although I am not sure that has anything to do with it.

Mayby it is just the fact that this he takes his time to speak to them and genuinely listening to them that impresses them.

personally, i find comments like that utterly disrespectful and offensive. i do reject the attitude towards thai women shown by such a comment.

 

on the other hand though, i think i should invite him over, and if he displays that kind of attitude here, my missus is gonna teach him a lesson he will most definately never ever forget.

there was a guy a few months ago who had to learn that lesson the hard way. fortunately for him his girlfriend saved him from serious injury...
