BelgianBoy
Guys, I have a few videos on file here, but I can only play them with WinAmp and with MediaPlayer. I need to do some editing, which would be the best appropriate program to do so ? I would like to do some cutting of ends, rotating as filmed upright instead of flat, etc..... TIA ! CHEERS ! Straycat
Hi BB, First of all, what program would you like to be able to play the files with? Isn't Windows Media Player good enough? :: Secondly, as for video editing software there is so much out there it's difficult to point you to any specific. Many of these programs have quite a steep learning curve and I really think it's an 'up to you' question. I suggest that you look thru www.tucows.com & www.download.com and the likes. There should be many programs, ranging from monster-class to tiny-wee-bit size, that you could try out for free. Big names are Ulead, Pinnacle and Adobe. I doubt you need anything like that...but as I said: Up to you!
whosyourdaddy
adobe premier is considered the best video editor. I like Ulead a bit better as I find it easier to use.

Pescator
Hi BB, If your OS is XP, it will come with Windows Moviemaker, which you will find under Program-Accessories. It should allow you to do some basic editing. Cheers Hua Nguu

Yes, I have XP and found the moviemaker, will need to see if I can rotate the movie. No, I filmed the baby of a follow boardmember Lemme see what I can do, my Toshiba also has the full Adobe program loaded. Cheers !
solar
Have a look at this link Destop Video Might help to narrow down your choices of software. MS Movie Maker will not do clip rotation, only simple cuts & joins. You should be able to get trial version Of Pinnacle Studio 8 to find out if this meets your needs: Pinnacle
