khunsanuk
Hi, 'Phishing' is the act of trying to get a user to hand over his/her account details by pretending to be a different site. E.g. someone could copy the site of your local bank and redirect you to it from an email they send you pretending to be said bank. If you then enter your account details on their site, thinking it is the site of your local bank, they gain full access to your bank account. A 'phishing' filter tries to prevent such fake sites from showing up in your browser. Not sure how it does that though, I believe it has a list of known fakes. Sanuk! carlton68
Lusty, both Firefox and IE7 have a phishing filter built in. Check if it's activated. Even my email client Thunderbird warns me about possible phishing emails.
