Steve Posted December 13, 2011 Report Share Posted December 13, 2011 Hmmm...I didn't hear Republicans say the same about Bush when the Chinese had our miitary and our plane early in his Presidency and the Chinese punked him into apologizing. Kinda reaching HH body. Not sure what a Republican president would have done differently given the situation other than declare open war. I don't see Romney doing jack shit were he Prez and I'm too afraid of what Perry would do and with his religious fundamentalism he may see it as an opportunity to bring about the last days from Revelations. Not reaching at all. First, Colin Powell did not "apologize" for the incident. He merely said that the U.S. "regretted" the happening. Second, 2 dozen U.S. military personnel were also in the custody of the Chinese. (Some called them "hostages".) It was believed that the most advanced electronics had been destroyed by the crew.) Would've been a real tough call to bring in planes to bomb our captured aircraft, not knowing whether or not some of our guys/women were still in or around the aircraft. Tactically, much more feasible in the instant case. Our current "commander"-in-chief is doing just what he said he would: "talk nicely" and our foes will respond positively. LOL. I have never heard from a Conservative they want to do away with the VA. I never heard of a Conservative claiming they want to do away with public education. I never heard of a Conservative want to do away with public highways. I never heard of a Conservative wanting to do away with county hospitals. I never heard of a Conservative wanting the police and fire departments to be volunteer and/or private. Why? Because the Conservatives are as much a commie socialist as Obama is!
