  1. I was just reading something now relating to Trump. I'm posting the below missive, as the Gaza mess is a stew and the Israelis and Hamas are the chillies in the Meat and Beans. But! This post, is to further the flavours, you kind gentlemen are discussing, and comes with some commentary, that I picked up on, listening to a podcast (Rachel Maddow - Déjà News). and so, briefly - ish: Back in the day, after WW1 after the League of Nations was formed, to "group hug" and protect each other, Mussolini was hell bent on invading and taking Ethiopia. Despite a long and strident international campaign by the Emperor Haile Selassie, the putative leaders of the League of Nations decided to do nothing, as they thought that any attempt to stop Mussolini would push the world into WW2. History shows, that WW2 happened anyway. In part, because a loose coalition, of "Strong" men like Mussolini, Stalin and notably Hitler, thought they could get away, with anything, because the League of Nations had failed to protect Ethiopia. Fast forward to Putin. Recently he took Crimea. The U.N. failed to do anything of substance. Then he took the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine, the U.N. ditto, nothing of substance. Then he launched on the Ukraine as a whole. The Western world is supporting the Ukraine, but without any direct action, like U.S. bombers hitting Russians. So at least, the West is trying. Now the Hamas have slaughtered some Israeli folk, including large numbers of children and women - also hostages taken, to be dangled on hooks. The West, but primarily the U.S.A. is in there, mainly in unflinching support, of the Grinning Chimp Netanyahu. This has, in my opinion, raised the heat on the Middle East cauldron, to boiling over. If the heat is not lowered it will get a lot worse, with Iran in the wings and the rest of the place, all girding their robes, to ride into battle and sort out their historical and tribal grievances. Once again, as if in a parallel with Ethiopia from the '30s, we have "Strong" men pushing the limits. Unknown, at least to me, is where China will move in all of this. Also, though I am comfortable that the U.S.A. is going to remain the stable and liberal representative democracy we all know, they've had a close call. Trump was the front man, but the Hyenas were the GOP, who have a history, of close ties to Germany's Nazi movement in build up and execution of WW2. So much so, that some senators were then using the free U.S. government mail, they had access to, to mail out Nazi propaganda leaflets. Ref podcast (Rachel Maddow - Ultra). I think it is probably human nature, that when someone has the opportunity, to make themselves King of the Universe, at any cost, they will take that opportunity. Fortunately the masses, always have more masses, and can remove, the cancers that arise, from time to time. Epilogue: From the beginning of this post, where I was just reading something, about Trump. An excerpt: It’s Official: With “Vermin,” Trump Is Now Using Straight-up Nazi Talk. ...On Saturday at 10:25 a.m., he posted on Truth Social: “In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American dream.” Then, at a rally in New Hampshire later that day, he repeated those words essentially verbatim—promising to “root out ... the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country”—and then doubled down on it: “The real threat is not from the radical right, the real threat is from the radical left, and it’s growing every day, every single day. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within.” This is straight-up Nazi talk, in a way he’s never done quite before. To announce that the real enemy is domestic and then to speak of that enemy in subhuman terms is Fascism 101. Especially that particular word... https://newrepublic.com/article/176877/trump-vermin-speech-nazi-language It may be that Trump is over - but he's still trying. ____ So my theme I guess, is that all around the world Fascism is on the rise and that either WW3 is imminent, or can be avoided, if the major Super Power, U.S.A. and allies remain stable and liberal representative democracies. If you are interested, please take the time to listen to the podcasts (not too onerous) and read the New Republic link I posted. Needless to say, I am not on the side of the Fascists.

Lads, on a serious note, I need everyone to wish me luck. I have a meeting at the bank later and if it’s a success, I will be out of debt and own everything I have now. I’m so excited I can barely put on my ski mask…

  6. Somchai the road builder signed the name of Somsak, the lunch time restaurant owner. Somchai has scarpered and Somsak has complained to the local authorities, about the truck in a hole, in the road outside his restaurant, that is affecting his business.
  7. The hardy athletes of the annual Dutch “headwind cycle championships” race have finally met their match, as organisers said Storm Ciaran’s gale-force winds was too much even for their pedal power. Every year, competitors battle against head-on gusts over the 8.5-kilometre (5.3-mile) Oosterscheldekering storm surge barrier in the western Netherlands, riding old-fashioned bikes with no gears and back-pedal brakes. The championships only take place if the wind registers more than a moderate gale seven on the Beaufort Scale (up to 61 kilometres per hour). But Storm Ciaran’s winds have proved a different prospect altogether as it lashes northern Europe with winds registered near 200 kilometres per hour in France. “Unfortunately the wind has become so strong as the day has gone on that we cannot start. The safety of everyone is the main priority,” organisers said in a statement. “We made this decision with pain in our hearts.”... https://7enews.net/en/sports-en/dutch-headwind-cycle-race-scrapped-wind-too-strong/

  12. Four Hua Kwang station police officers involved in extorting a Taiwanese actress Charlene An near Chinese Embassy in January were sentenced by the criminal court on Wednesday, November 8, to 5 years in prison. 13. You poor bastard, I hope you've now got some sort of immunity now. Mind you, every thing is a bell curve. It could be that you are at one end of the bell curve, in the "more susceptible" range. Whereas, MLG is the kind of girl who can find some old pla ra, dried up in an open jar, in the back of a cupboard from 8 years ago, scrape it out into her Tam Mahk Houng (Som Tam) and after eating it, feel positively radiant.
  14. On November 7th, 2023, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Deputy Prime Minister, clarified to Thai national media about the extension of opening service hours of entertainment districts to 4 AM in four pilot provinces. At present, the Ministry of Interior is in the process of reviewing and listening to various opinions and complaints from locals and owners of entertainment venues before presenting them to the cabinet, said Anutin. Anutin apologized for misleading information from the previous statement that the extended-hour services will not cover alcohol sales until 4 AMwhich is incorrect. He meant to mention service establishments that are similar to entertainment venues that could provide alcoholic beverages until midnight such as late-night restaurants, karaoke, and similar businesses. Qualified entertainment venues in approved, legal, entertainment zones would be allowed to serve alcoholic beverages until 4AM. Furthermore, entertainment services in hotels in four pilot provinces being Chonburi, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket, can provide full services until 4 AM. Anutin publicly stated that further details on the extended-hour services and related information would later be given by the Director General of the Department of Provincial Administration. However, the policy from the Thai Prime Minister will still be effective on December 15th, 2023. Meanwhile, the Pattaya Mayor has confirmed that currently legal entertainment zones will participate in the 4AM program effective from December 15th. However, proposals to extend the zones to Jomtien, Naklua, and Easy Pattaya will have to wait until next year. https://thepattayanews.com/2023/11/07/thai-deputy-prime-minister-clarifies-that-alcohol-sales-will-be-allowed-during-extended-entertainment-hours-in-four-pilot-provinces/ Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Deputy Prime Minister, Very Happy. Your honour/highness/perspicacious person: Unworthy detective Coss, was relating personal behaviour - being - "I used to get staggering drunk and jump on a bike I'd rented" further " in the middle of the late rush hour.".. implies that the rush hour referred to is the late one, late, not being early, unless your shift starts at 2:00am in which case 1:00am might be early for your shift

  21. https://news.yahoo.com/don-t-concerned-over-one-152400669.html ... North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un "decided to flex his muscles" and ordered 2,400 shells to be fired at a deserted island in 2020. "Of those 2,400 shells, only 400 reached the island. And of those 400, about 80 exploded. So now we take the quality of Korean production [into consideration], 4% of the shells fired actually exploded where they were supposed to. Now, we multiply one million by 4%, and we get what kind of real help comrade Un was able to give comrade Putin," Dykyi explained, suggesting that North Korea only provided Russia with about 40,000 working shells. Dykyi suggested that the Pyongyang instructors may have come along with the shells because "Russian artillerymen may simply be afraid to use these ‘masterpieces of the neighboring defense industr’y because it is not known how many of them exploded right in the guns... _____ Interesting if true.
